There is a legend that says that in ancient times there was an endless ocean in which mermaids lived. For many centuries they built a powerful state, for which they angered the heavenly gods. With one glance, the gods drained the ocean, and the aquatic inhabitants hid in the remaining small reservoirs of the area.
