There is a legend according to which local residents say that previously only Naimans lived around the lake. They learned that a sacred animal, a camel, lived in the lake and began to worship her. Every time before an enemy attack, a camel rose from the lake and warned the residents of trouble. Thanks to this protection, many lives have been saved. To this day, a sacred spirit lives in the waters of the lake and the lake is considered sacred.
