STONE SHAGAN OBA

There is an ancient legend about the Shagan Chuma stone, which is located in the Tarbagatai region of the East Kazakhstan region. According to legend, the Kazakhs, pursuing the Kalmyk warrior Shagan, shot him with a bow. Shagan ran away from his pursuers for some time, bleeding. The Kazakhs called the rocks that were stained with Shagan’s blood Kergentas, and the stone near which Shagan fell dead was called Shagan chuma.
