There is an extraordinary mountain in our district on the territory of the Sredigorniy rural district. If you drive towards Bolshenarym, then near the Chirkain village on the right side you can see this mountain. She looks like a knight who is lying on his back. There is an interesting legend about this mountain.
There lived a blacksmith in one village. His forge stood on the edge of the village.
He forged harrows, plows, and various utensils. One day there was a rumor that a big disaster was coming. A large enemy army is marching across their native land. Then the blacksmith rushed to his forge, he forged himself armor, a sword, a shield and went out to the enemy. The battle was long and terrible. Many enemies were killed, and our knight could barely stand on his feet. When the last enemy fell, the knight turned to go home. But then an enemy arrow whistled through the air and pierced the knight.
The knight fell to the ground and became a big mountain. And blocked the way to all enemies. And since then, no enemy has attacked our region.
Many centuries have passed, and only gray stones remind of the former greatness of the mighty warrior.
