Lake Dubygaly

There is a legend that a poor shepherd Kairat lived on the shore of the lake. When hungry and half-frozen he and his family came here with the Kystau, he had a small flock and two horses. But as the summer passed that the jigit of the encircling lake and all the illnesses left it, the flock grew. The herd of horses that drank water from the lake every day grew larger every day. The waters of the healing lake helped Kairat and soon he turned from a poor shepherd into a rich bay.
